Royal's Currier & Ives Blue Collection, featuring Western

For Americans, there are few pieces
of art that strike home like the Americana portrayed in Currier
& Ives art. This set of tumblers we have here certainly
continues the tradition, with each glass done with a beautiful
blue and white depiction of a farmhouse, complete with a horse
drawn carriage and numerous trees, a field, and farm animals.
Currier and Ives was a successful
American printmaking firm headed by Nathaniel Currier (1813–1888)
and James Merritt Ives (1824–1895). Based in New York City from
1834–1907, the prolific firm produced prints from paintings
by fine artists as black and white lithographs that were hand
colored. Produced with Royal Porcelain, these prints were brought
to the dinner table as cups, saucers, platters, plates, and

The glasses all seem to be in very
good condition. They have no cracks or chips, and the artwork
seems free of defects. The glasses could use a good cleaning,
but should look great once cleaned.
