Vintage COPPER CLAD Cast Metal Southwest Style Cowboy Boot Bookends
Book ends, cast metal, copper clad Southwest style cowboy boot bookends
We are happy to offer for your consideration these very cool set of copper clad cowboy boot bookends.
This set of bookends are a cast base metal and clad in heavy layer of copper, then mounted to sheets of copper. They are styled after a classic south western cowboy boot. The book end boot is split right down the middle and the design is mirrored on both boot halves with flat pebble textured surface on the inner, or book side. The book ends are approximately 7 1/2 inches tall, 2 5/8 inches wide (including sheet base), and 7 5/8 inches from the tip of the toe to the end of the spur. These bookends weigh approximately 5.25 pounds
Condition- This set of bookends look to be vintage. There is some thinning, and tarnish of the copper plate. One of the boot halves has some cracks in the casting at the top, and one of the spurs has been broken off. Even with these flaws this set of cowboy book ends are pretty dang cool.
If you know any literary Cowboy types, these bookends would make an awesome gift, or maybe you can use them to bracket your collection of Zane Grey novels
