a cloth-dyer in Venice. Because of this, the child became known
as 'tintoretto' - Little Dyer.

In the lower right corner on the reverse
side of the colour plate facing the title page, we see the following:
"Pierre LaFitte & Cie. Paris"
Although we are not book appraisers, we feel
that this group of 4 books would most likely fall into the fair
to good category. The spines and pages are all quite intact
although there is surface wear to the edges and some age-related
discoloration to some pages. In addition, the color picture
on the Leonardo da Vinci book's front cover is torn.
That being said, these lovely Antique Books
are quite a treasure and should be a fantastic addition to your
collection. They can only continue increasing in value as more
and more time goes by bringing you many hours of reading and
How nice to have this for
yourself - or - as a treasured and well-appreciated gift for
that very special person in your life!
