GREEN ENAMELWARE Vintage TEAPOT + LID Raised Decoration
A vintage Green Enamelware Teapot
with an abstract Floral design, circa 1950.
We are pleased to present this vintage
Green Enamelware Teapot for your consideration. Complete with
Lid, this unusual piece has a raised decorative band running
around the midpoint of the body. The decoration is an abstract
Floral Design done in white, black, and red. The Teapot also
has thin bands of Gold trim serving to highlight the base Green
The Teapot is a small piece, holding
only a cup or two of liquid. It measures 4 inches in height
(to the top of the lid) and has a 2-3/8 inch diameter base.
It weighs 7.9 ounces. There are no manufacturer markings on
the piece, but we believe it came from eastern Europe and probably
dates to around 1950.
The Teapot has a film of dried tea
on the inside which looks like it would clean up significantly
(peeled areas reveal an underlying white finish). Some surface
rust is found, mostly at the mouth of the spout and around the
lip of the lid. Some enamel is worn through on the handle and
below the spout, but the enamel is mostly intact. There are
no dented or damaged areas, and we rate the overall condition
as very good (see pictures).
This is an adorable vintage Enamelware
piece with a charming and eye catching look. It would make a
wonderful addition to any collection!
