BULOVA B7910 Maritime Quartermaster DESK MANTEL CLOCK

A Bulova Maritime Quartermaster Quartz Desk Clock, model B7910, in a gorgeous 8-sided Wood enclosure.

We are pleased to present this Bulova Maritime Quartermaster Desk Clock for your consideration. It is model B7910 and it features a gimbal mount for the Clock (allowing it to be rotated to any position) which is secured inside an 8-sided Wood enclosure with a beautiful Mahogany finish. The Clock was given as an award to a company named Connecting Devices, Inc., and there is an award plaque on the inside of the top cover which is dated March 1, 1995.

The Clock is powered by a single AA Battery (not included). We installed a Battery and set the Clock to the current time. We let it run for 24 hours, and found it to keep accurate time, precisely tracking the Clock on our computer. The Alarm was tested and also found to be functional. The latch for the lid seemed a little balky, but we found it to work fine given a positive push downwards on the lid above the latch.

The Clock cabinet is 3-3/4 inches high (closed), 6-1/2 inches wide (to the outside of the brass connectors on the side), and 6 inches deep. The face on the Clock, measured to the outside of the brass trim, is 3-1/2 inches in diameter. The Clock weighs 1 pound 11 ounces. It is marked BULOVA and QUARTZ on the face, with Made in Germany engraved on the back of the Wood cabinet.

The Wood cabinet has a tiny chip at the back, at the top edge. Some of the brass trim shows some tarnish and light patina. One of the thin felt feet on the bottom of the cabinet is missing. There is a small area of damage to the brass on the inside of the rear Brass lid in the area of the battery compartment - it appears a battery leaked at one time causing slight damage near the perforations provided for the alarm. Despite the past problem, the battery compartment is clean and the Clock is undamaged. We rate the overall physical condition as very good (see pictures).

This is a charming Desk or Mantel Clock with a beautiful Octagonal Wood enclosure. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
